I am a native of Beaufort and after graduating from Battery Creek High School I attended Wintrop University in Rock Hill, SC, where I obtained a degree in Early Childhood Education. I later earned a Masters in Early Childhood Education from The University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg. This is my 20th year teaching at Joseph Sherman Shanklin, Sr. Elementary! I taught 1st grade for 9 years, was a Reading and Math Interventionist for 11 years, and this is my first year as a Kindergarten teacher. I look forward to growing and learning with my students!
